preserving Baylor's traditions

Presents:

Here Come The Bears!

For the first time in over 26 years you will have an opportunity to read the most comprehensive history of Baylor's mascots ever published. This coffee-table book is an illustrated history of the university mascots since the first one came to the campus 79 years ago. It contains information and pictures of the bear mascots, their trainers, and the various habitats in which they have lived.

Among the approximate 75 photographs are those of university president, Dr. Robert B. Sloan Jr., and his three predecessors, W.R. White, Abner V. McCall, and Herbert H. Reynolds. Each president is with at least one of the mascots that served during their tenure. In addition, the book also provides historical glimpses of Baylor's growth and development since it was founded in 1845.

Just remember that by placing your order you will be helping improve the most unique of all Baylor traditions. All proceeds will be added to the Bill Boyd Endowed Mascot Fund which was established to help maintain the highest level of care and professionalism with regard to Baylor's bears.

To order books as gifts for your friends and relatives this holiday season please call University Development at 1-800-BAYLOR-U, option 4 or send us an e-mail at the address at the bottom of this screen.
