What is the Sesquicentennial Walkway

In 1995, Baylor University celebrates her 150th year of scholastic leadership
in Christian living and learning.

As the oldest university in Texas and the largest Baptist institution of higher education in the world, Baylor continues to hold true to its dedication to teaching, scholarly attention to discovery, and service to others.

In honor of Baylor's 150th year and as part of theSesquicentennial Campaign, persons were offered the opportunity to make a lasting tribute to the University's longstanding history through the Sesquicentennial Walkway.

The Sesquicentennial Walkway on the Burleson Quadrangle links Folmar Pavilion at Old Main and President Burleson's statue. All alumni and Baylor friends have the opportunity to purchase one or more bricks on this special walkway paved with personally engraved bricks.

In the years to come, the Sesquicentennial Walkway will be seen by many students, alumni, and friends who will recognize the long line of distinguished graduates and friends and their dedication and commitment to Baylor during the last 150 years.

In addition to providing a lasting reminder of the Sesquicentennial celebration and enhancing Burleson Quadrangle, their brick purchase also supports University projects and enhances current academic programs.
