Spring Formal
Kappa Delta's formal is held in the spring semester of every year. It is a night where memories are made, not only because of the elegant atmosphere, great food, and good times, but also because it is our seniors' last Kappa Delta event.
Longwood
Every fall Kappa Delta hosts Longwood, our country casual named after the school where Kappa Delta was founded (Longwood University). The girls and their dates dress up in their best country attire and head to Salado for barbeque and dancing.
Crushes
Each semester, the ladies of Kappa Delta get a chance to crush as many Baylor guys as they want and give them a t-shirt to invite them to an event. We recently held our spring crush (Kay Dees and Kampfire), where we had a great time making s'mores. Our last fall crush (Slip-N-Slidin' KD Crush) was a fun field day with giant waterslides and slip-n-slides at Cameron Park.
Take-A-Dates
Several times a year, the Kappa Deltas go on Take-A-Dates. This semester, KDs brought their dates to a Baylor Football Tailgate and Game. Past destinations have included drive-in movies, comedy clubs, Medieval Times, and even ice skating in Dallas. No matter where they go, the girls and their dates are sure to have a lot of fun.
Date Dashes
Sometimes at the end of our meeting, our social chair will announce a date dash. We'll get t-shirts and have an hour or two to find a date to a surprise event that evening. For our last date dash, we took our dates bowling.
New Member Dance
In the spring, the New Members create their own theme for a dance and surprise chapter. This year's theme was "007 with PC '07". KD had a great time bringing their dates and dressing up like James Bond characters.
