Lawyer's Office

This was the only lawyer's office in the area. People came here for notarizing documents, probating wills, making land transactions, and legal consulting of all kinds. The lawyer spent part of his work week, and sometimes long periods of time, at the county seat, so he was a valued source of political news and gossip.
