Boating on the Brazos

As you can see by the map to the right, the Brazos river was a good way to get around central Texas. During this time, steamboats were widely popular. Passengers preferred the steamboat's smooth ride to the bone-rattling voyage on the stagecoach, but travel on the river wasn't always perfect. What were some of the problems of river travel? Look at the advertisement below to see if they talk about one.
