One of Alpha Chi's biggest areas of involvement is service. Nationally Alpha Chi Omega supports the Easter Seal Society--which gives aid to victims of cerebral palsy, The MacDowell Colony‹a retreat for artists, and Victims of Domestic Violence. Alpha Chi has won the Abner McCall Service Award for donating the most hours of service as a Panhellenic sorority.

Waco Family Abuse Center
Theta Iota's local philanthropy is the Waco Family Abuse Center. Members take turns cooking meals and delivering them to the center twice a week. We also collect children's socks and toiletries for the Center. Each spring we spend one Saturday morning learning about domestic abuse and how we can help at the Center.

Diamonds and Denim
Alpha Chi Omega volunteers at the Waco Family Abuse Center's annual fundraiser. This event provides the majority of funds for the center's ongoing expenses.

Halloween Party
Every Halloween, Alpha Chi's organize a party for the children and the Waco Family Abuse Center. Our girls dress up in costumes and provide the children with an opportunity to enjoy the holiday.

Valentine's Day Party
For V-day, Alpha Chi teamed up with Sigma Chi to make and deliver valentines to each of Lakeshore Nursing Home's residents.

Easter Egg Hunt
At Easter, Alpha Chi puts on an egg hunt for the children inside the center. "These children can't run around outside so we decorated the inside of the center and hid eggs filled with candy in the commons rooms. The kids loved it, and we had fun too!" says Service Chair Bethany Walden

Bear the Burden
Last semester Alpha Chi donated 46 bears to the Bear the Burden Campaign for abused children.

Relay for Life
Each year Alpha Chi's participate in Relay for Life, a national event put on to raise money for cancer research.

Hugs & Pampers
Each year for Hera Day, Alpha Chi's National Service Day, our sorority joins with other greek organizations to collect diapers to provide a year's supply for the Waco Family Abuse Center.

Steppin' Out
Each semester we participate in the university-wide cleanup project Steppin' Out. This gives us a chance to work together as a chapter and as Baylor students to improve the Waco community.

Race for the Cure
Alpha Chi participates in Race for the Cure, a race that raises money for Breast Cancer Research.
