Alpha Delta Pi Chapter Room

First Floor Suite in the Stacy Riddle Forum

Our beautiful chapter room is the result of a life long friendship that began with two women accepting bids to join Alpha Delta Pi, one a few years after the other. Kim Rice Pettigrew was a charter member of Alpha Delta Pi, and Carrell Stovall became her Great-Grand Little Sis a few years later. As Alpha Delta Pi ties foster strong friendships that last a lifetime, the two remained close friends after college. When Alpha Delta Pi members began discussing plans to create a room for our college Sisters, Carrell Stovall immediately thought of her friend, who now owns two successful home decorating businesses which supply retailers, based in Dallas. With Kim’s keen eye for detail, our Sisters are treated to an elegant, multi-functional room that reflects the pride that all of our Sisters both at Baylor and beyond share for our First and Finest Sorority!

"My four years in Alpha Delta Pi were extremely beneficial to me in preparing for a successful career. Among other offices, I served as Treasurer for the sorority, which taught me the organizational skills and leadership skills needed to manage my own business in my future career. The Sisterhood of Alpha Delta Pi introduced me to so many women in different majors and different interests – and so many lifelong friendships which continue to this day. I never could have had the success in my business career without my experience in Alpha Delta Pi at Baylor."

"Joining Alpha Delta Pi introduced me to lifelong friendships and a Sisterhood that celebrates the rich legacy of our unique heritage as the first secret society for women, truly enriching my Baylor experience. I enjoyed the social aspects and philanthropy projects, mixers with fraternities, preparing floats for Homecoming, participating in Sing, and being Social Chairman. My sisters from Baylor are my best friends still today. I learned many life skills – unconditional love for Sisters, loyalty and respect for our Sisterhood, negotiation skills, good manners, and leadership skills. I hope my daughters have the same experience. I really enjoy now working with our Sisters at Baylor as House Corporation President. There is power in Sisterhood and I BELIEVE in ALPHA DELTA PI!"
