When an opposing batter
takes a bunch of warmup swings at the plate
One of the following:
* Count the swings
* Begin spelling out his first name one letter per swing. If he
stops before you finish, chant the word formed by the letters you
shouted. For example, for a batter named Louie who takes two
swings - "L!!! O!!! Lo! Lo! Lo! Lo! Lo!!!"
* Read items off a predetermined list of random things. We
usually start off with cold cuts "Ham!!! Chicken!!!
Turkey!!! Bologna!!!..."
When one of our Diamond
Girls comes
out to get a bat
* BATGIRL!!! followed by the Batman theme
When the opposing pitcher
doesn't get the ball across the plate
* DIRTBALL!!!
When an opposing player
throws the ball over the intended player's glove
* AIRBALL!!!
When the opposing coach
comes out of the dugout to talk to the pitcher
* As soon as he crosses the baseline - "Leave him in!"
/ "Take him out!"
* When he comes back, we shout what he is walking on "Dirt
dirt grass grass grass paint paint grass grass..."
Opposing pitching change
* Air raid sirens as the new pitcher comes out
* When the new pitcher throws to the catcher "HERE IT
COMES!!!"
* On the return - "THERE IT GOES!!!"
* On the final throw from catcher to second -
"THERRRRRRRRRRRRE IT GOES!!!"
After a good inning
* Stadium yell - "Bay-lor - Bears", "Baylor -
Bears - Fight", or "B - A - Y - L - O - R"
When we have a chance to
strike someone out
* Clap... clap... clap.. clap.. clap, clap, clap clap clap
clapclapclap, then yell "K!!!" as the ball crosses the
plate
When the bases are loaded
* Clap clap clap... clap clap clap... clap clap clap... until the
batter steps in the box
During the potential final
out of a game we are winning
* Clap clap - clap.... clap clap - clap.... clap clap - clap...
until he hits it or strike two.
If he gets two strikes, we start up the strikeout clap.
