ANALYSIS OF CURRENT EVENTS

Submission Information

The editors of Analysis of Current Events encourage submissions by established scholars in the field as well as younger scholars in the early stages of their careers. All submissions are peer-reviewed by members of the editorial board and outside referees. We are always accepting quality articles on a range of topics dealing with problems of nationbuilding and statebuilding in the communist and post-communist world, as well as with issues relating to societies along this region's periphery.

ACE focuses on publishing insightful and timely articles, particularly those that may foster a debate in the field or shape how we view current events in the world. Articles that are shorter in length and the result of early stages of a research project are thus particularly appropriate for submission. Given these priorities, ACE makes decisions on publication rapidly and does not maintain a backlog of accepted articles. Articles which are accepted are usually published within six months of submission, and priority is given in our publication schedule to more time-sensitive pieces.

Submissions should be no more than 3,000 words, should conform to the ACE style, and be accompanied by a brief bio. Electronic submissions are encouraged, and may be sent by email attachment to Troy McGrath. Hard copy submissions may be sent, along with a diskette containing a file of the article, to:
