Detailed information for each program is provided. Main arrangement by 10 broad categories (Multiple Special Purpose, Humanities, International Affairs and Area Studies, Special Populations, Urban and Regional Affairs, Education, Social Sciences, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, and Technology and Industry). Provides indexes by subject, organization and program, geographical area, and personnel.

Arranged alphabetically by corporation name. Provides profiles of companies' giving history including a list of sample grants awarded. Each profile uses "Grants-At-A-Glance" to shorten research time by providing the most important information in a concise and easy-to-understand graphic. Includes the following indexes: Geographic Areas of Giving--Regions; Geographic Areas of Giving--States and Cities; Grant Recipients (Sample Grants); Grant Recipients by State; Main Subsidiaries; Principal Subsidiaries; Who's Who in Corporate Philanthropy; and a Master Cross Index.

The Foundation Directory . New York: Foundation Center, most current.

Provides information on the finances, governance, and giving interests of the nation's largest grant-making foundations, those with assets of $2 million or more or which make annual grants of at least $200,000. Arranged alphabetically by state and then by foundation name. Six indexes are also provided: Index to Donors, Officers, Trustees; Geographic Index; Types of Support Index; Subject Index (provides access to giving interests of foundations based on the "Purpose and Activities" and "Fields of Interest" sections of entries); Index of Foundations New to the Edition; and Foundation Name Index.

The Foundation Directory Part 2. New York: Foundation Center, most current.

Provides exactly the same information as The Foundation Directory, but it focuses on those foundations making annual grants totaling $50,000 to $199,999 and holding assets of less than $2 million.

One of the most valuable resources for determining the current funding priorities of the nation's largest foundations. Provides access to the funding interests of major foundations by subject area, geographic focus, types of support, and the types of organizations which receive grants. Consists of 7 sections: Grants (lists grants of $10,000 or more by 28 major subject fields); Recipient Name Index; Subject Index (provides access to the grant records by keywords and phrases which describe the specific subject focus); Type of Support/Geographic Index; Recipient Categories Index; Index to Grants by Foundation; and Foundation Name and Address List.

Designed primarily for preliminary research on funding resources, it provides access to private grant-making foundations, grant-making operating foundations, and community foundations that awarded grants of $1 or more during the latest fiscal period. Particularly helpful in identifying many small foundations which are often important sources of local funding. Sections One and Two are arranged geographically. In Section One, foundation entries are listed in descending order by total grants paid; and in Section Two, foundation entries are listed in descending order by total assets. No subject access is provided.
