Collections of Political Materials Papers of Judge Bob L. Thomas Chief Justice of
the Tenth Court of Appeals |

A few biographical materials,
articles, and handwritten notes are also included. These
are boxed first, followed by the court
opinions.
Almost a year after the
death of Judge Thomas, his office contacted Kent Keeth,
Director of the Baylor Collections of Political
Materials, concerning two boxes of papers. These two
boxes were delivered to the BCPM in the Spring of 1997.
The task of doing a preliminary inventory was assigned to
Student Assistant, Ben Van Tang. He found that the papers
consisted mostly of court opinions both civil and
criminal, arranged by year. Because the court case
numbers were not completely chronological, it was decided
to arrange the opinions by date, separating the criminal
case files from the court cases files as Judge Thomas had
done.
