Biographical Sketch

Allen Dwain Place, Jr. was born September 22, 1955. Like his father, he graduated from Baylor with a BBA. In 1979, he received his JD from Baylor and became an attorney in Gatesville. In 1990, he was elected to represent District 57 composed of Coryell, Bosque, and Hill counties beginning with the 72nd Legislature in 1991. In the 1992 election, the districts were redrawn and Place was elected from District 59 representing Comanche, Coryell, Erath, and Hamilton counties. He did not run for reelection in 1996.
