Book Vault

The
W. R. Poage Legislative Library is currently in the process of
creating a rare book vault. This is how the Reading Room looked
originally. |
 |
Need: Through the years, the Baylor
Collections of Political Materials (BCPM) has acquired numerous rare items
requiring special storage and handling. The current facility does not
contain a separate area where these materials can be housed.
Proposal: A portion of the reading room has been set aside and refurbished with glass walls and a granite floor. We still need to add custom book cases and an archival environmental HVAC system.
