July 10, 2004 - A commemorative portrait of Bob Bullock by Texas artist Ruth Munson was unveiled at the W. R. Poage Library. Bullock attorney Chuck Bailey provided introductions and remarks with Jan Bullock.

July 10, 2004 - At the W. R. Poage Legislative Library, an exhibit of Bob Bullock photographs, memorabilia, and political materials was on display for opening ceremony attendees.

 

July 10, 2004 - The Bullock Archive Opening reception and "Red, White, and Bullock" dinner gala was held at the new Mayborn Museum on the Baylor University campus. An additional exhibit of Bob Bullock political and personal items were on display.

At the dinner, remarks on the life of Bob Bullock and the importance of the Archive to political historians were provided by: Will D. Davis, Chairman of the University Board of Regents; Robert B. Sloan, president of Baylor University; John Keel, former Deputy State Comptroller under Bullock; Robert D. Spellings, former head of the Texas Budget Review Board under Bullock; and Jan Felts Bullock, wife of the late Lieutenant Governor Bob Bullock.
