Emphasizing Learning Styles
Plan now to attend and participate in the
Library Instruction Round Table (LIRT) Program
on Sunday, June 29, 1997, at 9:30 a.m.
in the Westin St. Francis, Grand Ballroom
during the ALA Annual Meeting, San Francisco
This informative panel presentation will feature Gail Junion-Metz, President, Information Age, a distinguished Internet trainer and author of numerous training and Internet instructional materials; Lynn Sutton, Director, Undergraduate Library, Wayne State University, has overseen the development and implementation of this new undergraduate library which was designed with learning styles in mind; and, Debra Jones , Internet Librarian, Cabrillo College, a noted presenter and author, who has added the dimension of critical thinking to the ever evolving electronic learning environment. This lively and informative panel presentation will discuss, describe, and debate what librarians need to know about learning in today's electronic library.
This year' s LIRT program will give you new avenues to explore as each librarian in every type of library is faced with the challenges of providing instruction to our diverse user populations. It promises to be fun, feisty, and full of useful information! See you in San Francisco!
