Librarians learn to teach in many ways:
by attending workshops and programs, by reading the current literature
and by sharing concerns and problems with colleagues. The 1998 LIRT Annual
Conference Program in Washington, D. C. will present representatives from
three innovative programs to discuss additional opportunities for enhancing
teaching skills:

The National Information Literacy Institute

Library Instruction in the library schools

PREMIER, a colleague-to-colleague program
created by librarians in the Michigan Library Association to provide peer
support and instructional counseling.
