The LIRT Newsletter is not a refereed journal.
Articles are accepted or rejected based on the judgment of the editors
who consult, when necessary, with the newsletter committee and LIRT's executive
board which also functions as the newsletter's editorial board.
ContentWhile the LIRT Newsletter exists primarily to inform members about activities of the roundtable, the newsletter committee actively seeks and welcomes contributions that address library instruction in any library setting public, school, academic or special. In the past, the newsletter has heightened
awareness of instruction-related literature, provided practical tips for
library instructors, offered aids for dealing with instructional technology,
alerted readers to regional and state activities related to library instruction,
and allowed practitioners the opportunity to showcase their successful
instructional programs and to express opinions about the place of instruction
in libraries. Authors may wish to browse previous issues on the web
