- Provides data on levels of literacy and rates of literacy in the
United States. This site does not have teaching materials per se,
but the data would be useful for policy making and program development.

National LINCS National Institute
for Literacy
- A gateway to adult education and literacy resources on the Internet.
Areas of the country are divided into five categories, Western/Pacific,
Northwest, Midwest, Eastern, and Southern. Sites are independent of
one another and offer web sites, articles, local contact information,
and even grant and funding opportunities. (Western/Pacific offers
a unique tutorial for Teachers/Tutors to use under Learning Resources.)
