About the Institute:

The Institute of Statistics is an interdisciplinary institute that offers the Ph.D. and M.A. degrees in statistics. The graduate programs are offered with the cooperation of the Departments of Mathematics, Information Systems, and Psychology. The faculty in these departments bring a wide range of expertise and experience to the classroom and prepare students for a variety of career opportunities. The degree programs provide a balance between statistical theory and applications of statistical methods.

Emphasis is placed on acquiring research, consulting, and teaching skills that are applicable to the biomedical sciences, the natural sciences, academe, business and industry, and behavioral and social sciences.
