On March 19 Drayton McLane Jr. will meet with a group of MBA students for a small group discussion in the Graduate Conference Room. McLane is chairman of McLane Group, chairman of the Houston Astros Baseball Club and chairman of Astrodome, USA. He is also a member of Baylor's Board of Regents.

A team of four MBA students will represent Baylor along with a faculty sponsor at the Oklahoma University Case Competition Feb. 22 and 23 in Norman, OK.

A team of five MBA students will represent Baylor Business at the George Washington/KPMG Case Competition in March. The tenth annual GW/KPMG MBA Case Competition in Washington, D.C., is in the only national case competition that addresses issues and challenges for not-for-profit organizations. In 2001, the Baylor team earned third place in the competition.

The annual Graduate Business Programs Global Dinner will take place Feb. 6 in the Business School. Students sample international foods, learn about the cultures of their classmates, listen to global music and win great prizes. The Global Dinner is an opportunity to learn more about the cultures represented by the students in our graduate business programs, international and domestic alike.

Class 9 of the Dallas Executive MBA program will be in Hanoi, Vietnam, and Hong Kong, China, May 4-10 as part of their final course, Global Strategic Management. They will meet with executives of four companies in each city to discuss strategy and then return to the United States and graduate May 17.

An EMBA/MBA mixer takes place on Friday, Feb. 21. Students in the Dallas Executive MBA join full-time MBA students on the Baylor campus for lunch and a time to get to know each other. It’s a great time to connect with fellow MBA’s.
