Gordon
Grant, Assistant Professor of English, received his
Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin in 1994. After
graduate school, he taught in West Virginia for two years
before joining the Baylor faculty. He is currently serving
as Director of the Freshman Composition Program and teaching
in the department's new networked computer classroom. His
research and teaching interests include composition studies
and pedagogy, rhetorical and critical theory, and
modern/postmodern literature and culture. He has presented
papers on the disciplinary tensions within English studies
and on novelists David Lodge and John Berger, and has
published articles in the Journal of Advanced
Composition and the collection Situating College
English (Garland, 1996).
