Internships
East Africa Semester Abroad

 

Near the end of the semester students devote their full energies to a three-week project which will be arranged individually according to their academic field of specialty and interest. In most cases, internships have a pre-professional focus, although this is not mandated. These study and service opportunities offer the students opportunities for professional growth, personal challenge, and self-discovery, perhaps unparalleled in their undergraduate careers. Internships also provide students with opportunities to apply their academic learning to practical experince, and to contribute their intellectual and physical skills in small but meaningful ways directly to East Africa.

The volunteer service provided by students in their internships fulfills in a tangible way the mission of Baylor University "to educate men and women for worldwide leadership and service by integrating academic excellence and Christian commitment within a caring community."
