Travel Information and Hotel Accomodations

Location

The conference will be held in the Bill Daniel Student Center (BDSC), which is at the corner of South 5th Street and M. P. Daniel Esplanade on the campus of Baylor University. Look for building 23 on the online campus map. There is designated visitor parking in back of BDSC.

Transportation

Driving

Waco, Texas is conveniently located in central Texas, approximately one hundred miles south of Dallas/Fort Worth and one hundred miles north of Austin. Interstate35 runs through the center of Waco, and Baylor University is immediately east of the highway at either the University Parks or 4th/5th Street Exits.

Flying

When planning your travel, please keep in mind that, in addition to Waco Regional Airport (ACT), three airports in Dallas and Austin are within a two-hour drive to Waco via Interstate 35: Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), Dallas Love Field (DAL) and Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS).

Shuttle Service from Dallas Airports to Waco

The Waco Streak provides scheduled airport shuttles to DFW and Love Field four times daily. Charters to other airports and locations are also provided. For more information, call 800-460-0430 or visit www.wacostreak.com.

Shuttle Service during Conference

In addition to hotel shuttles (where available), there will be charter buses for conference participants travelling between select hotels (Best Western Old Main Lodge, Clarion Hotel Waco and Holiday Inn Waco) and campus at scheduled times during the conference. The schedule is as follows

Some hotels provide shuttle service to and from Waco's airport. Be sure to inquire and make arrangements with your hotel for pickup and dropoff in advance of your arrival and departure flights.

The blocks of rooms that we reserved at local hotels (Best Western Old Main Lodge, Clarion Hotel Waco and Holiday Inn Waco) have now expired, and they have since booked the rest for one or more nights of the conference.

All of the below hotels are within several miles drive to campus and still had rooms available as of March 16. Please note that our shuttle bus will be making stops only at Best Western Old Main Lodge, Clarion Hotel Waco and Holiday Inn Waco. Be aware that the conference staff has not inspected any of the following hotels for quality -- we list these for your information only.
