Study With Us

The Center for American and Jewish Studies offers a unique academic program in tandem with the J.M. Dawson Institute of Church-State Studies. All Center for American and Jewish Studies courses are taught by Professor Marc Ellis and include a variety of supplemental conferences and events.

Graduate courses offered by the Center for American and Jewish Studies include Jewish Philosophy, Liberation Theology, and Modern Judaism, as well as a series of independent studies. Graduate students may take these courses for credit towards a Master of Arts or Doctor of Philosophy degree in Church-State Studies, or as part of the degree requirements for related disciplines at Baylor.

Undergraduate course offerings include Hitler and the Holocaust as well as the three graduate courses, pending permission of the instructor. Prospective graduate students seeking to apply for financial aid with the Center for American and Jewish Studies must apply to either the M.A. or Ph.D. programs in Church-State Studies.

See profiles of past and present student assistants.
